From the Florentine Camerata to...
For the FIFTH season in a row, NYIOP is happy to present a project focused solely on Artists who specialize or excel at singing Baroque Repertoire.
The wealth of repertoire possible during this period that spans roughly 150 years of some of the most exciting development in western music, and the birth opera in particular, is simply stunning to behold and the number of presenting organizations expanding into this repertoire grows daily.
NYIOP Baroque Virtual Zoom Auditions creates an opportunity for Artists who wish to present themselves for engagements in this repertoire to be heard by the specialists who cast this amazing repertoire.

For 2022, we have a new process.
All Artists will submit two recordings (video or audio) of suitable repertoire to show their abilities. The NYIOP Baroque Panel will hear ALL submissions and then choose up to 40 specialists to invite to sing again via a LIVE audition to be held via Zoom.
Artists pay a lower fee for initial registration and only those passed to the LIVE Zoom round pay a small additional fee to be heard LIVE by the NYIOP Baroque Casting Panel. However, every registrant is heard by the panel and can request feedback from NYIOP if desired.
