Yesterday we had one of the most interesting and provocative NYIOP Webinar discussions I can imagine with Bill Palant, VP of IMG Artists and one of the world's most respected artist managers.  This type of information sharing is EXACTLY what I had imagined and dreamed when I conceived of the Webinar series - the type of important and essential information that no artist ever gets taught in school BUT that EVERY ARTIST MUST HAVE in order to succeed. All work and no play….


Have been working hard to set things up for the coming season - I can't even tell you how exited I am about the Webinars and the potential we have to again revolutionize the way information gets passed in our industry.  Rubin and I tested them out three times last week and it is SO easy to take part and SO interesting to see the possibilities.  Tomorrow we start! Giandomenico Vaccari and Jari Haemaelainen are also very interested to see what potential there is to interact DIRECTLY with artists.  They have both commented on how this type of interaction never existed ...


I am deep in updating the site today and getting ready to send out all the info announcing our new direction - new life - new energy etc etc....I have spent so much time this summer trying to rework NYIOP to go back to providing the artists and agents and theaters the information and projects they need. I am so excited about the webinars - I think this can be a HUGE help to everyone - the world is so small now and why not start sharing the information that is really needed? And the Bootcamps - this one I really hope ...

Busy times


Happy 2011 to all of you and I hope that it is a healthy and happy year for each of you.  My 2011 has already started with a bang.  In Palm Beach, we started with a performance of Handel's Ariodante with the Young Artists on January 6th and continue with a Verdi Requiem today with Dolora Zajick, Angela Meade (a NYIOP alumnus - she sang several times over her time at AVA), Carl Tanner and Morris Robinson.  And this coming week we have an Orfeo ed Euridice coming as well.  It is a busy time!  Also, I am working to ...
